Branches laden with stylized blossoms sweep across a warm ivory ground in this traditional Japanese Chiyogami paper. Shades of turquoise, powder blue, soft periwinkle, and cream are outlined with fine gold-toned detail, while dark brown boughs give the abundant floral pattern depth and graceful movement. Hand-printed using a layered silk-screen process, the design is especially beautiful for bookbinding, journal covers, decorative boxes, collage, framing, and paper arts that benefit from an intricate yet serene motif.

From the Atelier: We were drawn to the way this paper balances abundance with calm. The branching design feels almost like looking upward through a flowering canopy, while the restrained blue palette keeps the intricate pattern light and graceful. It would make an especially lovely journal or keepsake box covering, and smaller pieces would bring quiet beauty to endpapers, card details, or framed paper compositions. This is a pattern that feels both decorative and restful - richly detailed, yet easy to live with.
