White cranes sweep across a richly layered green ground, accompanied by petite rose blossoms and slender geometric accents in forest and pale mint. The repeating composition balances graceful movement with crisp traditional pattern, creating a design that feels lively, refined, and beautifully dimensional. Hand-printed in Japan using a traditional silk-screen process, this decorative Chiyogami paper is ideally suited to bookbinding, journal covers, keepsake boxes, endpapers, collage, framing, card details, origami, and paper arts that call for an elegant nature-inspired motif.

From the Atelier:  We selected this design for the lively way its cranes seem to rise and settle across the page. Against the variegated green ground, each ivory bird catches the eye, while tiny blossoms and angular vertical motifs create a steady visual rhythm. Seen as a full sheet, the pattern feels joyful and expansive; cut into smaller pieces, it offers beautifully composed scenes for journal covers, boxes, and correspondence details. It is a lovely choice for handmade pieces intended to convey movement, renewal, and quiet good fortune.
